White poha or flattened white rice is made from white rice by pressing it. Thick beaten rice absorbs more liquids and hence retains the flavours. Other popular names are Avalakki, Rice flakes flattened rice, beaten rice, poha, atukulu and aval. Very easy to cook and is convenient to make a variety of quick snacks. Easy to digest.
