Red rice is a powerhouse of nutrition, thanks to its unpolished form which retains its fiber content and unique flavor. While not as well-known as brown rice, it surpasses it in terms of nutritional value, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a healthy diet.


  • Add 2 cups toor dal with 4 cups water
  • Add veggies (peas, carrot, beans)⁣
  • Add 1 tsp salt, half tsp turmeric, 1tsp ghee/oil
  • Add 2 cups red rice (red rice @nuttyyogi )⁣
  • Pressure cook for 3 whistles
  • Mix well
  • Add 2 tbsp tamarind water, 2 tbsp bisi bele bath powder, curry leaves . Mix well on low heat for 5 minutes
  • Prepare seasoning- fry mustard, red chilli, curry leaves, hing, cashews and 1 tbsp bisi bele bath powder
  • Add seasoning to rice mix
  • Mix well and switch off the stove.⁣
  • Serve warm with curd and salad.
  • For additional yumminess try with papad, boondi and hot chips 🤤 ⁣
