Makkan Peda, a beloved Indian sweet, originates from Arcot in Tamil Nadu and holds cultural significance in the region's culinary heritage.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Multi Millet flour
  • 1/4 cup Khoya
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Warm milk
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery Powder
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Cardamom
  • Almonds

Instructions:

  • Mix multi millet flour and ghee to form a dough with khoya and warm milk.
  • Make small peda shapes, stuffing them with chopped almonds.
  • Bake the pedas in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
  • In a pan, cook jaggery powder, water, and cardamom to make syrup with a one-thread consistency.
  • Soak the baked pedas in the jaggery syrup for 2 hours.
  • Garnish with more almonds and serve. Enjoy your Makkan Peda!
